Important: Understanding UCI Cinemas Gift Card Region Restrictions

This version of the UCI Cinemas Gift Card is intended for Germany and is denominated in EUR.

It is designed for redemption through the German UCI KINOWELT network.

A Germany-region UCI Gift Card should not automatically be expected to work:

  • At cinemas outside Germany

  • At unrelated cinema chains

  • Through foreign UCI-branded services

  • As a general Mastercard or Visa payment card

Digital delivery does not mean worldwide redemption.

For this product page, the correct positioning is:

Germany Region / EUR / UCI KINOWELT

Before purchasing, make sure the recipient intends to use the Gift Card at a German UCI cinema or through the supported German online booking service.

No. UCI Cinemas Gift Cards do not need to be spent in one transaction.

The important distinction is:

UCI Geschenkkarte = stored monetary value

while

some UCI Gutscheine = specific ticket voucher

For a standard UCI Gift Card, any eligible remaining balance stays on the card and can be used again.

For example, if you have a €50 UCI Gift Card and spend €32, the remaining €18 can continue to be used toward eligible UCI purchases during the card’s validity period.

Current UCI Gift Card rules state that:

  • Remaining value stays on the Gift Card.

  • The remaining balance can be used later.

  • Gift Cards generally remain valid for three years from purchase.

  • Cash redemption is not permitted.

  • The balance can be checked through the UCI Gift Card management service.

This is different from some fixed-ticket UCI vouchers, which may be intended for one specific cinema ticket rather than operating as a reusable stored-value balance.
